Another run of very successful Cork Development Summer Camps came to a close last Thursday at Midleton and St.Nicholas Ladies Football Clubs.

There were nine camps held this year throughout the summer months and a big thank you to all the clubs who hosted same.

Sincere thanks to all the club mentors ,and volunteers who again made each individual venue so special to all of our young players who participated in the camps. To the parents,guardians and children on behalf of Cork L.G.F.A thanks again for your support of the camps.Last but by no means least to the Camps Co-Ordinator Orlagh Farmer and her wonderful team of coaches and helpers this year’s camps would not have achieved the success it did with out you all.

Orlagh, your organisation and commitment to Cork Ladies Football Camps is truly remarkable and professional in your implementation of the different drills and skills to all of our participating young ladies.

The LGFA are conducting a survey with all our many volunteers across all units of the Association.

Volunteers are the backbone of our Association and it is vital that as an organisation we firstly know the demographics of our volunteers but more importantly we know why you volunteer with the LGFA and how we can enhance your volunteering experience.

We would ask all clubs, county board and provincial councils to please circulate this email to your officers, coaches, mentors, female liaison officers and many other volunteers who assist with the running of our sport at grassroots level.

We also encourage you to place the link to the survey on your social media pages too.

From the results of this survey we will develop a Volunteer Policy which will shape the recruitment, recognition and retention programmes for our volunteers as well the development of the appropriate training and support tools.

The greater the reach of the survey and the more responses received will assist with ensuring a more accurate reflection of the needs of our volunteers.

Cork LGFA June County Board Meeting Has Been Rescheduled To Take Place On Next Monday, 11th June, In The Rochestown Park Hotel At 8:30pm.
